Mike Takao, Broker Associate, began his real estate career in early 2003 with Keller Williams Realty, where he has remained loyal ever since. In 2014, he obtained his broker’s license and began the Takao Home Team. The Takao Home Teams was recognized as the #1 Team in income and units sold in 2020, as well as 2021, and #1 in GCI in 2022, in a market center of approximately 500 agents.
Over the years, Mike has had the opportunity to serve on many boards and committees, such as diversity, retention, education, Agent Leadership Council, and KW Cares. He has also volunteered with the Austin Board of Realtors on the Professional Development Committee, Property Management Committee, and most recently the Scholarship Selection Committee.
Mike was born in Hawaii and grew up in San Antonio. He graduated from Trinity University, where he played tennis all (4) years for the Tigers. After graduating in 1999, he relocated to Austin, fell in love with the city, and soon began his real estate career. In his spare time, Mike enjoys playing tennis, golf, and cheering on the Spurs – GO SPURS GO! He and his wife Doreen enjoy time with their newborn (2023) son, Tyson, and their yorkie, Madison. You can also find them often venturing out to any new eateries in the ATX!
