Virginia Lazenby

Virginia began her transition to real estate in 2003 after a 25-year career in education, ranging from first grade to university teaching, and completing a doctorate degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Literacy Development. Having recently married and returning to Texas after nine years in Minnesota, Virginia decided the time was right for a career change. Her priorities included working with people, being out in the community, problem-solving and researching. Real estate emerged as a profession offering these opportunities and challenges. 

Virginia’s natural leadership abilities, compelling determination, strong people skills, and sensitivity to others, have served her well in establishing herself in the Georgetown and Williamson County real estate community. Strong, knowledgeable, and experienced, Virginia’s success as a REALTOR® and businessperson, and active involvement in the community is evidenced by her election to the Board of Directors of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce in 2011 on which she served through 2016 and was appointed to two terms on Georgetown’s Commission on Aging. She currently serves as Chair of the Steering Committee for Vibrant Living! A Senior Empowerment Event. In addition, Virginia is an active member of San Gabriel Presbyterian Church. 

Her outstanding service and client satisfaction has earned her the recognition as a Five Star Real Estate Agent for the past seven years. Her goal is to bring order to the buying and selling process by providing resources, support, and structure. The repeat business and large number of referrals attest to Virginia’s success in serving her clients.

To further enhance the quality of her service to senior adults and their families, Virginia completed the rigorous educational curriculum and competency-based exam and application process to earn the prestigious Certified Senior Housing Professional (CSHP) designation from the Seniors Real Estate Institute in 2014. In 2019, she continued training to earn further recognition as a Certified Senior Downsizing Coach by the Seniors Real Estate Institute.

Seniors Living Smarter Services is often called upon by seniors downsizing who need assistance organizing and managing relocation-related tasks like selecting a qualified moving service, sorting and packing, and emptying the house of remaining items. Sometimes there is family support nearby but often the family is far away. Virginia can provide as much or as little assistance as the senior needs and wants to make informed decisions."

Whether a senior is moving to a 55+active adult community with home ownership or selling a home to move to independent or assisted living, Seniors Living Smarter Services' goal is to reduce the stress and remove the hassle by offering comprehensive real estate and coordinated move management services.
