In fact, the Coosawattee River record striped bass weighed in at 30 pounds, 12.8 ounces, and was caught by a family member of the property's owner, accessing the river that morning from the property's concrete boat ramp.

In the evenings, laughs and tales about the one that got away can be heard at the ''game house'' that overlooks the stocked lake. The property is great for hiking and hunting, and has plenty of room to build new homes with great views of the mountains. Carters Lake and its Marina are a 10-minute drive.
