About Me
Carlen Hultgren grew up in Connecticut, graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont, spent a year working in D.C., and immediately moved to Sweden to work on a farm, and eventually for Volvo. Martha’s Vineyard was another year, and finally the move to Atlanta came in 1989, during hurricane Hugo. In Atlanta, she had an Apparel showroom through 2009, working freelance in the Apparel and Gift industries until 2018, when she made the move, and acquired her Real Estate License. Carlen immediately accepted, the position of In-House Sales, at In Atlanta Realty, moving to the position of buyer’s agent in 2020. Active in her East Atlanta Village community, she is the EAV (East Atlanta Village) editor for the Porch Press, heads the Hospitality Committee for the EAV Strut, is the meetings and events chair for EABA (East Atlanta Business Association), and regularly volunteers for community events. Her daily yoga practice and passion for writing fiction keep her busy in the off hours, and good weather weekends could include gardening, biking, kayaking, or fishing with her family on Lake Lanier.
