Working 1st as a business manager & later a junior partner in land acquisition and development / ownership & management of Single Family Residential Subdivisions, Commercial Development of Convenience Stores and Multi Family Development of Apartment Communities. The Real Estate “downturn” of the late 1980’s through early 1990’s lead to a 14 year career in management & sales at Georgia’s Local Caterpillar Dealer, Yancey Bros where Polk was recognized as a leader in management & sales while working with development companies & builders of commercial & residential real estate. Polk’s experience with the next metro Atlanta Real Estate “meltdown” of 2006-2011 was the beginning of “ThePOLKTeam.com.” Licensed in Georgia in 2009 Polk began ThePOLKTeam.com with wife Dawn, who is a small percentage Owner of the Keller Williams Braselton Office and for many years was the Managing Broker & Team Leader for Keller Williams in Braselton & Gainesville managing the daily business and supporting hundreds of Real Estate Agents. Both Dawn & Brian are KW "BOLD" Graduates, and Dawn has also completed "BOLD Leadership".
